My Spring Quests

I’ve got some holes to fill…

I’m not a minimalist by any means, but I do think we need to think long and hard about our consumer habits.
For this year I have a rule of no more than 12 new pieces (about 3 per season) and I’m only going to shop for high quality items that will last me a long time (with the intent to wear them for a long time). I’ve only bought 2 items so far this year, so I can buy up to 4 this season.
Another goal of mine for this year is to have one no buy month each quarter/season. My no buy month for spring is May. For these months I will not buy any haircare, skincare, clothing, accessories, or snacks/coffee out. I am allowed to spend a maximum of $80 on yoga classes.

Here’s the goals I’d like to track for spring:

  • Focus on expanding my hot weather clothing. Currently I only have clothes good for cold/cool weather, and I live in Texas where it gets quite hot. My focus is breathable tops, and adding at least one pair of shorts to my wardrobe before summer really sets in.
  • Anything I buy has to “go” with at least 4 other items in my closet.
  • I must leave these things in my cart or a wish-list for at least a week before buying them.
  • No-buy month in May
Now, as of writing this, I have purchased 2 of my 4 items for spring (purchased in April). a pair of denim shorts from Levi's, and a tank top from Organic Basics. If y’all want a discount on your purchase with Organic Basics you can use this link:

I don’t get paid a commission for this in the standard sense, I just get points to use on their site. I love OrganicBasics because their fabric is soooooo soft and its, well, organic. I’ve also gotten 2 sets of activewear from them which are made of recycled performance fibers that fit perfectly. This is not sponsored I just genuinely love them.
 Talk to y’all soon!
